Sickness 2030
By 2030, life expectancy will rise, but so will deadly diseases. Heart disease, cancer, and diabetes will top the list, claiming millions of lives. Infectious diseases may decline, but lifestyle-related illnesses will surge.
Men will face higher risks of heart attacks and strokes, while women will battle Alzheimer’s and breast cancer. Young adults will struggle with mental health and substance abuse. Diabetes will silently take over, hitting harder after 70.
The biggest killers? Heart disease (9.2M deaths), stroke (8.5M), and COPD (4.5M). Road injuries, HIV/AIDS, and hypertension will also take their toll.
